HJWAVE, a Physical AI-based autonomous driving RF technology company led by CEO Taehwan Yoo, announced that it is advancing its autonomous driving radar design technology through collaboration with Ansys, leveraging RF engineering simulation technologies.

This collaboration is being carried out as part of the global corporate collaboration program Ministry of SMEs and Startups and Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development’s “Around X” initiative. HJWAVE plans to strengthen its autonomous driving radar antenna design and verification framework by utilizing ANSYS’s RF simulation solutions.

HJWAVE has been developing core autonomous driving radar component technologies based on its millimeter-wave waveguide antenna design expertise and RF system engineering capabilities. Recently, the company has been expanding into overseas markets while securing supply opportunities with global autonomous driving companies.

The company is currently enhancing antenna design and verification technologies optimized for millimeter-wave environments and is utilizing an electromagnetic analysis environment based on ANSYS HFSS within its design verification framework. Through this initiative, HJWAVE aims to improve the performance of autonomous driving radars requiring high-resolution and wide-angle characteristics, while also increasing development efficiency and shortening development timelines.

In addition, the company is focusing on advancing antenna design technologies that minimize signal interference and performance degradation in multi-channel environments, while strengthening product competitiveness to meet the demands of the global market.

“Taehwan Yoo, CEO of HJWAVE, stated, “We plan to continuously advance our RF engineering simulation-based design capabilities to strengthen the competitiveness of core autonomous driving radar components. Through securing globally competitive technologies, we will continue expanding into overseas markets.”
