HJWAVE (CEO Tae-hwan Yoo), a millimeter wave (mmWAVE, 30–300 GHz) RF specialized company specializing in civilian radar, autonomous driving radar, and antennas, announced that it is currently operating its own factory with a three-story above-ground area of ​​1,270 pyeong on a site of 870 pyeong in Yongin Techno Valley, Gyeonggi-do. 

The factory holds SQ (Supply Quality) certification for mass production and supply of electrical components to Hyundai and Kia Motors, as well as IATF-16949 certification for overseas electrical component supply. It currently supplies electrical components to domestic and Japanese customers, and plans to additionally build production facilities for specialized millimeter wave products, including radar antennas and radar assembly lines, to establish itself as a specialized millimeter wave manufacturer.

CEO Tae-hwan Yoo of HJWAVE said, “Based on 27 of our own patented technologies and 13 customers secured at home and abroad, we achieved sales of KRW 11.1 billion in 2023. This year, we are targeting sales of 22 billion won based on the synergy from the manufacturing line configuration, and we plan to enter the global market and expand our business areas to mobile communications and the defense industry.” “After attracting an investment of 8 billion won in 2023, we are currently in the process of attracting an additional 15 billion won in investment, and more than 30% of the investment has already been paid. We plan to complete the investment attraction by the second quarter of this year and invest in facilities and global expansion linked to full-scale mass production sales.” 

In addition, “In a situation where there is a shortage of companies capable of specialized production of civil radars and autonomous driving radars based on millimeter wave that require high manufacturing technology, we plan to operate a dedicated factory specializing in millimeter wave products, from antenna parts to radar inspection equipment and finished radar products, based on our core RF technology,” he said. “We will actively respond to customer demand and maximize sales through synergy from R&D to finished product manufacturing to prepare for an IPO in the first half of 26.”
