HJWAVE (CEO Tae-hwan Yoo), an autonomous driving small business (materials, parts, and equipment) company, announced on the 10th that it has signed a contract to supply vertical radar inspection equipment (EOL, End of Line) for performance correction inspection of MRR (Middle Range Radar) radar to a domestic autonomous driving radar company. This vertical radar EOL facility is 78% smaller and 40% cheaper than the existing horizontal radar EOL. It focuses on providing customers with cost advantages as well as efficiency in production line space and implementing the same performance as the existing horizontal type.

HJWAVE has already supplied 50% of the contracted quantity and plans to supply the remaining quantity in the third quarter of 23. In addition to the existing LRR and SRR EOLs, through the EOL supply of this new MRR line, it will now supply all types of autonomous driving radar EOL facilities.

HJWAVE CEO Yoo Tae-hwan said, “In order to relieve our customers’ anxiety about the new format, we have been communicating with them since last year while conducting our own pre-verification process, and we approached the business from the perspective of securing our customers’ competitiveness in the mid to long term rather than our short-term sales.” He also said, “A new proposal to produce separate vehicle radar inspection equipment for MRR and SRR (Short Range Radar) with the same facility has been adopted, and we have signed an additional contract to set up an overseas factory in the second half of this year.”

HJWAVE, a millimeter wave small business company, is expanding its business area from the development of autonomous driving radar antennas to inspection equipment with the goal of overcoming the limitations of a small business company, and plans to promote its business by expanding into the EMS business area through its own line configuration in the future.
